"The Keeping Room," is a Western-style film set towards the end of the Civil War. It features the story of Southerner Augusta (Brit Marling) who encounters two renegade, drunken soldiers. They seem to be on a mission of violence in pillage. Augusta is nearly assaulted and escapes just in time to run back to her isolated farmhouse. At home is her sister Louise (Hailee Steinfeld) and their female slave named Mad (Muna Otaru). What will these three women do when these Yankees find their home? It's a film that is guaranteed to linger with you long after the credits roll!
