West Coast restoration premiere of "King of Jazz," from 1930 and starring Paul Whiteman, John Boles and Laura La Plante.
This event will be hosted by Academy governor and Oscar winner Michael Giacchino (Composer of "Up") and animation director David Silverman. "King of Jazz," has been restored to its original length and features the color via glorious two-color Technicolor process. The film is a revue with sketches, songs and production numbers built around American composer, bandleader and orchestral director Paul Whiteman.
